New Dugout Construction

Rye Youth Softball completed the construction of dugouts for the league at Rye Elementary School. "The softball community really came together to take this important step in starting to bring equality to the youth softball program in Rye." said JM Girald, President of the Rye Youth Softball Association. The program raised over $5,000 from individual and corporate sponsors to fund the material purchase and the parents of the girls volunteered their time to perform the labor. Corporate Sponsors include the Portsmouth Rotary, Star Island Builders, Ricci Lumber, Great Island Realty, Tate & Fosses, TMS Architects and Eastern Bank. The vision of the dugouts and approval from the Rye School Board was championed by Celeste Christo. Along with new infield dirt, the softball complex at Rye Elementary School will continue to be transformed to reflect the success of the program.
