2021 Rye Riptides 12U Champions!

The Rye Youth Softball 12U team went 13-0 in the SAU 16 Softball League this Spring, beating Exeter 4-3 in the championship game. "We were tested in all three of our playoff games and battled back from being down early, never stopped competing and found ways to win," Rye coach Daniel Benson said. "For a small town to go 13-0 in a league with very talented teams is something they should be so proud of." The league consists of teams from Portsmouth, Sandown, Hampton, New Market, Atkinson, Seabrook, Hampstead, and four Exeter teams. Members of the team include Natalie Sherman, Darby Benson, McKenna Bingham, Solstice Reed, Belen Burke, Bella Kane, Karys Murphy, Maeve Murphy, Tiana Demers, Anna Vitali, Caitlyn Tabit, Ally Girald, Ana Christo, and Ainsley MacGlashing. Rye will play in this weekend's Father's Day Frenzy in Rhode Island, competing against teams from New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
